You will work directly with physical hardware, sensors, communications systems, embedded computers, simulation environments, and other engineering disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This position is <strong>contingent upon successful SBIR or other government contract award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What You&#8217;ll Do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop embedded and application software for robotic systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop autonomy, navigation, mission-management, and vehicle-control functionality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate cameras, navigation systems, communications equipment, sensors, and embedded computing hardware.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop interfaces between onboard and ground-based systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build simulation and software-in-the-loop\/hardware-in-the-loop test capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing test data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement fault detection, health monitoring, and autonomous response logic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support cybersecurity and secure communications implementation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in field and flight testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Troubleshoot problems spanning software, networking, electronics, and physical hardware.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help establish the software architecture and development processes for future products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We&#8217;re Looking For<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience programming in C++, Python, C, or similar languages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of software architecture and debugging.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience integrating software with real hardware.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to independently solve poorly defined engineering problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest in robotics, autonomous systems, aviation, or defense technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experience with ROS\/ROS 2, Linux, embedded computing, computer vision, AI\/ML, navigation, flight controls, simulation, networking, cybersecurity, or UAVs is a plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Will Thrive Here<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re looking for a <strong>builder<\/strong>, not simply someone who writes code from a requirements document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;ve programmed a robot, built an autonomous vehicle, competed on an engineering team, developed a UAV, integrated sensors, or spent nights debugging why software and hardware weren&#8217;t talking to each other, we&#8217;d like to hear from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an early member of the engineering team, you&#8217;ll have the opportunity to influence the software architecture, autonomy approach, development environment, and future product roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> This is a contingent position.
