At the 2026 Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington, D.C., one message is standing out in our early conversations: persistent awareness matters, and useful operating duration is getting attention.
Potential customers and industry participants have responded positively to the extended persistence we are targeting. The interest is encouraging because it connects directly to a practical challenge: keeping useful sensing capability available without imposing constant attention or sustainment demands.
Customer Signals That Shape the Design
The conversations are helping us sharpen our priorities. Duration matters, but so do reliability, integration, operator workload, and the ability to sustain useful information over time. We are listening for the operational problems behind those requirements, rather than treating any single technology as the answer.
Persistence Is a Systems Problem
Long-duration awareness depends on decisions across the entire system, including power, sensing, computing, communications, autonomy, and supportability. We approach these as connected engineering considerations shaped by the mission.
Building the Right Relationships
AUSA creates opportunities to hear directly from Army stakeholders and connect with researchers, suppliers, prime contractors, and other innovators. Those perspectives help emerging companies understand what it takes to move from a promising concept toward a supportable capability.
Thank you to the Association of the United States Army, event organizers, exhibitors, and participants for creating space for these discussions. We look forward to continuing the conversations.
